She Is Rachael.

Who am I? WOW! What a loaded question! I am an intelligent, witty, self-reliant, magnetic gal who loves deeply and cares a great deal about my people.

I am an old soul who is confident she is an old lady trapped in a 30 something’s body. I have old lady hobbies - I love to sew. I say old lady things - ‘Six of one, half dozen of another’. And I love old lady foods - I’m a sucker for mashed potatoes and I always have hard candies in my purse!

I also enjoy grilling and would put my teriyaki grilled short ribs up against any dude in the grillin game! Outside of food, my love languages are acts of service and quality time so being present and spending time with my family and friends recharges and renews me.

I am currently in the process of rediscovering who I am, and I’m on a journey of growth and exploration. I am truly fond of Rachael 2.0 and who I am becoming, but it is ever evolving.

Part of wanting to do this podcast came from a place of wanting other women to know you don’t have to have it all figured out, don’t have to have all the answers, and don’t have to be all the things…you just have to be authentically you!

It has taken me a great deal of time and energy to understand one thing and that thing has now become my mantra of sorts…no matter where I am in life or where I thought I would be, the only thing that matters is…I EXIST, therefore I am WORTHY!

  • In Episode 1, we discuss Rachae1’s trash bio. Check out that episode here: https://www.thesheis-podcast.com/episodes

I have tried to write this bio about 4 times now and each time I keep getting stuck as I analyze each detail and the words I have chosen to describe myself. I have taken the time to painstakingly choose each word or phrase to ensure they convey the correct message and serve to properly illustrate the woman that I am. These sentiments in and of themselves speak briefly to who I am!

I am an only child of a single mother who has always placed a high degree of importance on family and friendships, some of which end up feeling like family. I love to cook and to grill and I'm a firm believer that food should be the sixth love language! If I don't like you, I won't cook for you.

I am married and divorced and I have no kiddos, but I tend to excel at being my friends' children's feral aunt! As I am recently divorced, I have been on a beautiful journey of self rediscovery and growth, and I have truly enjoyed spending time getting reacquainted with myself!

I am truly passionate about helping people whether that be while I am at work as a practicing attorney or assisting my friends and family in my free time. If you are one of my people, I will fiercely protect and defend you even to a fault! I am a by-product of the saying, 'it takes a village to raise a child', and even though I am no longer a child, I am still grateful for my village on a daily basis.

Why am I doing this podcast? I think it goes back to the fact that I love to help people. I know there are people out there who will resonate with my upbringing, or my career, or my eclectic way of thinking, and I want to be able to shine a light on the fact that they aren't alone or the only woman to have experienced such things! Not to mention, I can no longer stifle my charisma, wit, and itellect...it must be shared with the world!
